Internship Program

PILPG’s internship program is designed to expose students to the field of peace negotiations and post-conflict constitutions, as well as to assist students in honing their research, writing, and networking skills. The program also has a strong emphasis on professional development and exposure to the field of public international law.

Interns are quickly integrated on to PILPG's project teams, working with both DC and field office staff. Over the course of the program, interns are responsible for conducting research for senior attorneys; drafting organizational updates on current conflicts and peace processes; assisting with database management; drafting press releases; managing PILPG's strategic communications platforms; and other administrative tasks.

Featured Intern: Amanda Presutti

Ms. Presutti interned with PILPG in 2014 before working in various roles with the United Nations, Executive Office of the President of the White House, and U.S. Department of State. Ms. Presutti is currently an analyst at the Northrop Grumman Corporation, a leading global security company.

how to apply

PILPG accepts applications from undergraduate students for 10 to 12 week full-time positions in PILPG's Washington, DC office.  Applications are selectively reviewed on a rolling basis and interested applicants should prepare a resume, cover letter, and brief writing sample. Apply now →
